TubeMagic IAM88, IAM96 and P36

A well know beer company’s slogan in Canada is “I AM CANADIAN”.  Interestingly enough, TubeMagic, a Canadian company, which builds high-end tube audio gear, has seemingly taken this slogan to heart in naming its tube (akin to bottle?) amplifiers.

Tube Magic’s IAM88 $5.200 U.S. is a KT88 40wpc pure class A tube integrated amp using a full preamp section.  The compenent features three-inputs, with a selector switch that uses silver contacts for increased conductivity.  Inside the box are high-quality components such as Jensen paper/oil and Mundorf gold/silver/oil capacitors and Dale resistors.  The tube set for the IAM88 is 3 x 6DJ8 preamp tubes (DC filaments), 2 x 6SN7 driver tubes (DC filaments) and 4 x KT88 power tubes (AC filaments).

Next in the line-up is the IAM96 $5.200 U.S., which is a 6L6 20wpc pure class A tube integrated amp with a full preamp section and 3 x 6DJ8 preamp tubes (DC filaments), 2 x 6SN7 driver tubes (DC filaments) and 4 x 6L6 power tubes (AC filaments).

Finally, for those just looking for the benefits a tube control preamp can provide, there is the P36 preamp $4.000 U.S., which uses 3 x 6DJ8 tubes and offers 3 inputs.
