NAD Electronics, has just expanded its VISO Series with their new NAD VISO 1 AP.  The VISO 1 AP is digital device with Wi-Fi network and Apple AirPlay capabilities. Like its sibling, the current NAD VISO 1 that was released in 2011, the new VISO 1 AP is said to remains solidly true to NAD’s brand values of performance, simplicity, innovation, and value.

The NAD VISO 1 AP has high fidelity aptX Bluetooth for easy and immediate connection to compatible laptops and computer devices. The NAD VISO 1 AP features a rear USB port for connection and charging of Apple iOS devices, eliminating the need for a docking cradle. A USB input and a 24/96 capable optical input is perfect for connecting many digital devices, as well.

NAD’s sister company, PSB Speakers, has provided the accoustic speaker design that is fully integrated with NAD’s Direct Digital amplification. The product’s elegant aesthetics and functional design is the work of the acclaimed New York design firm, DF-ID, whose principal, David Farrage has contributed to many other world-class designs in and outside the CE industry.  The NAD VISO 1 AP has been designed to be easy to set up and simple to operate.  Either NAD VISO 1 model can be utilized as the main playback device for a flat panel TV.

The NAD VISO 1 AP incorporates NAD’s highest-end Direct Digital DAC/amplifier technology. In fact, it uses the same Direct Digital technology that has revolutionized digital amplification, first seen in the company’s $6000 Masters Series M2 DAC/Amplifier. As a pure digital platform with no analog circuits, this innovation creates an absolute silence; instruments seem to appear out of a totally black background, enhancing dynamics and imaging.

Engineered by the original groundbreaking design team that created NAD’s legendary 3020 Amplifier, the NAD VISO 1 was refined and exhaustively tweaked by pioneering speaker designer Paul Barton, of award-winning sister company PSB Speakers, at the National Research Council in Canada, one of the most sophisticated audio testing facilities in the world. Utilizing the processing power inherent in the Direct Digital technology allows the speakers to be optimized for sonic performance.
